Weston Lodge is situated just off the South West Coast along the 95 miles of Dorset and East Devon World Heritage Site known as the Jurassic Coast. The area is surrounded by beautiful coastlines and countryside and has been awarded World Heritage Site Status, England's first. As well as being a paradise for Walkers and Ramblers, the area from Exeter to Weymouth is famous for it's geology and fossil finds.

Sidmouth Beach  Sidmouth (just 3 miles away) is a beautiful, unspoilt regency town overlooking the waters of Lyme Bay. It has managed to preserve much of its old world charm with few chains stores and just one large supermarket. With an original seafront and promenade, the town is made for browsing with some genuinely unique shops and family businesses. At low tides Jacobs Ladder exposes a sandy beach just below Connaught Gardens which is great for the kids - especially between the groins.

Lyme Regis  Situated 12 Miles to the East of Weston Lodge Lyme Regis is a historic unspoiled seaside resort and fishing port on the world famous Cobb harbour. Surrounded by beautiful coastlines and countryside, the area has been awarded World Heritage Site Status . Famous for its geology and fossil finds. Enjoy it’s dramatic location, congenial climate, timeless charm and the hospitality of it’s townsfolk. From the crest of Timber Hill a magnificent, panoramic view of the bay lies before you with the blue sea above the ragged rooftops of the town, embracing and beckoning. The delightful maze of steep, narrow streets with their interesting architecture, shops, galleries, pubs and cafes just begs to be explored. There are sheltered south facing beaches, safe for bathing, and the sunny sandbar overlooking the harbour and traffic free promenade create an environment where children can play safely

Exmouth Beach  Exmouth is a beautiful family resort with its 2 mile long seafront, lovely cliff walks with stunning views of the bay. It has an excellent beach for the family to swim and play or just to relax, or enjoy its many activities. Sand dunes and rock pools and plenty of sea front attractions will keep everyone entertained for hours.

Beer Village  Beer is a delightful and historical fishing village some 5 miles from the Bungalow. It continues it's strong fishing tradition, but offers something for everyone. The high street has some unique curio shops mixing with the bakers and tea-rooms. The beach itself has rock-pools at low tide, some restaurants and offers disabled access via the matt paths pinned to the beach. The mackerel fishing from boats in summer is great fun - we normally have a boat full. It has also been the setting for "Midsomer Murders" and many other TV programs.

Axmouth Harbour  Axmouth Harbour is right beside Seaton and is good for a short walk along the harbour wall towards the sea, but mostly because it's great for crabbing. If you have never been crabbing and have kids under 95 then it always passes a few interesting hours. For really small ones you can crab from the opposite bank which is gently sloped pebbles. There is a small cafe and Fishing Tackle shop. The older bridge is the first concrete bridge somewhere (Apparently)..

Exeter Cathedral Exeter is famous for it's 12th century Cathedral, it's Roman Wall and Northernhay Gardens. Nowadays it also boasts a modern shopping centre with many large chain stores as well as many individual stores. There is of course a large university and many other museums and historic attractions. Just outside there is Exeter Airport and Racecourse.
